Transformational Community Leadership….Coming Soon

November 11, 2016 by Mike Dunn

A GREAT meeting was just held. GSC is launching an idea next Spring, one that was brought our way by some very engaged Salisbury leaders: Chris Eccleston, Robby Sheehan, Heather Duma, and Jake Day. GSC, in conjunction with Salisbury University, will be launching a Transformational Community Leaders program this Spring. Next gen leaders will “drill down” and get to know the key businesses, institutions, and entities in Salisbury/Wicomico County area – all in an effort to take their current knowledge base of our area, and expand on it. Exciting stuff. Stay tuned.

YDAC – Making Things Happen

October 13, 2016 by Mike Dunn

Greater Salisbury Committee hosted the Salisbury Youth Development Advisory Committee – YDAC – for its’ second meeting this week. Look at that turnout!!! The RIGHT people, around the RIGHT table, working hard to figure out how this city can better invest in our young people. Community Centers? Mobile “Pop Up” Neighborhood presence? #UNITE SBY. We’re trying. YDAC was born, in part, by the GSC commitment to finding ways to help Salisbury’s “At Risk” youth, and by Mayor Jake Day and the Salisbury City Council’s commitment to….doing the same thing. #Partnerships!!
