SU Marketing Students Design Free Job Search Webinar – April 30
Paula Morris’ Salisbury University Marketing 440 Class is tasked with learning-by-doing with a focus on content creation, in-bound marketing and data tracking. COVID-19 has offered a unique opportunity to put these skills to work in a real-life format.
For two years each successive class has participated in the building of a website called “Our First Job Search” (www.ourfirstjobsearch.com), a site designed to help students navigate the job market. According to Morris, when COVID-19 broke out, her students pivoted, adding content within days about how to manage a job search in this new environment.
A team of students also began designing a webinar, open to job searchers of all ages called, “When the World Starts to Rebound … When Employers Start to Hire … Are You Ready to Shine?” It will be held Thursday, April 30at 3:30 p.m.
Speakers at the FREE webinar include Kevin Fallon – SU Career Services; Kate Kearns – HubSpot Campus Recruiting; Ryan McGuire -The Harrington Agency; and Paula Morris – Professor of Practice / Marketing.
The website and webinar are completely the product of students. Learn more at www.ourfirstjobsearch.com. Look for the blue pop-up window in the lower left for the registration link or click here to register.
