Small Business Marketing Grant

The Greater Salisbury Committee, in participation with the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce “Pivoting for the Pandemic” – a marketing grant program for small businesses in Wicomico County, Maryland affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a way to support businesses who have quickly pivoted their operations and marketing strategies as a result of COVID-19, the Greater Salisbury Committee has formed a partnership with two local independent marketing consultants, Sophia Smecker and Nicole Abresch, to offer their help.

“Every local business is facing their own unique challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and those without access to marketing resources have an additional hurdle to overcome.” Mike Dunn, CEO of Greater Salisbury Committee said. “This marketing grant will give three Wicomico County-based businesses the opportunity to adjust their marketing strategy based on this new normal with the help of two knowledgeable marketing consultants.”

The grant is a marketing package valued at $3,500 which consists of 30 hours of consulting time and $1,500 towards the business’ marketing strategy. Three small business applicants will be selected, and the 30 consulting hours includes an initial consultation, assistance with allocating the marketing grant, and an actionable short-term marketing plan for the future.

Businesses with 25 employees or less based in Wicomico County can apply by filling out the application form below and emailing it to mdunn@greatersalisbury.org.

The deadline to apply for the marketing grant is Friday, July 17.
